This guide thoroughly describes the main off-piste routes in The Three Valleys. Includes tips to make the best choice according to the season and snow conditions, as well as some very sound safety advice. The Three Valleys is the name given to a group of four well-known ski-resorts, Méribel, Courchevel, Les Menuires, and Val Thorens, which is the highest resort in Europe (2200m). There, off-piste skiing still retains a character of friendly secrecy, and you don't necessarily have to rise before dawn to make your own track in virgin snow.
